Michele DuBard, President - Community Leader

Michele DuBard was born and raised in Blythewood.  After working in corporate America for 13 years, Michele decided it was time to dedicate her time to volunteering.  Since 2011, she has been volunteering at CAB's location, going back to the days when it was a satellite office for Cooperative Ministry. In March of 2015, Michele earned her Master's degree and has continued to play a vital role in the mission of Christian Assistance Bridge. She and her husband Vince, both members of Bethel Baptist Church, have two grown children and three grandchildren.


John Covert, Vice President - Owner/President, Covert Homes

John Covert is a local custom home builder. He and his wife Tami have three children, Bailey, Bryson, and Meredith. The Coverts have valued mission work for many years and have participated as a family in numerous capacities. They helped facilitate Salkehatchie Summer Service Blythewood at Trinity UMC Church for a number of years. They also work with Home Works of America to help refurbish low income housing, at no charge to the homeowner. John and Tami were honored to be ask to help with the organizational committee for CAB at its inception by Rev. Dr. Cathy Jamieson.


Becky Spence, Treasurer - Owner, B2 Strategies

Becky Spence, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, has enjoyed living in Blythewood for almost ten years with her family of four. She is a recent addition to the board as the treasurer but has been serving CAB for almost 3 years now and grateful for the opportunity to give back to her community.

Kathleen Snider

Kathleen Snider, Secretary

Kathleen Snider has lived in the Blythewood-Ridgeway area since 1989, when she and her husband built a house in the woods and moved there with their three children. After retiring in 2015 as the Bureau Chief for Compliance and Performance Review at the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Kathleen's first goal was to become a volunteer at CAB, and she recently joined the CAB Board. Kathleen is a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church and heads the church's service committee which provides ongoing support for CAB. She enjoys playing with her two young granddaughters and traveling with her husband John.


Ruth Ellen Hardee, At-Large - Building Industry Association of Central SC

Ruth Ellen Hardee is currently the Financial Administrator at the Building Industry Association of Central SC.  Prior to this position, she was a Vice President and Construction Loan Officer at Regions Bank.  She is also a member of Blythewood Presbyterian Church where she is Chairman of the Outreach Committee.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, and supporting the USC Gamecocks in all sporting events!

Joy Grainger, At-Large - Blue Cross Blue Shield

Joy Grainger was born and raised in Columbia, SC and lives in Blythewood.  She has worked in the IT Industry since 1995 Recruiting IT professionals and has been in management for over fifteen years.  Joy has a passion for taking care of friends, family and those in need. She has volunteered with a local food pantry, organized Adopt a Family during Christmas, and has been a member of other mission's teams.  Her church family is Trinity United Methodist in Blythewood.


Jeremy Grainger, At-Large - Blue Cross Blue Shield

Jeremy Grainger, a lifelong Blythewood resident and member of Trinity United Methodist Church, has worked in the IT industry for twenty years with a focus on IT security. Having participated in Salkehatchie, a mission based summer camp, as a youth, Jeremy saw the local need and initiated the Blythewood chapter of this camp helping hundreds of people in the Blythewood/Ridgeway area.
